T-Mobile flicks HALF of the "dimmer" switch...

100% of 7.2Mbps HSPA upgrade complete

Standby for mid-2010 for upgrade to HSPA+ 21Mbps

EDIT: sorry about forgetting the links

http://www.tmonews.com/2010/01/t-mob...-hspa-7-2mbps/

Also, with only 2 bars where I sit, my speed has jumped 50%. I will test full signal at my desk at work tomorrow.

when does att plan on going to lte? one of those post say att is actually going to hspa+ instead of lte. Also it says lte will have up to 100mbps (even though we know they will never see that speed) while hspa+ is only 21

"Both AT&T and T-Mobile have said they will deploy LTE in 2011"

So basically verizon will be losing out this year, they will be the only ones in 2010 without 4g internet speed. Sprint has wimax already (launching in my area this month :occasion5:), supposedly they will be able to switch to lte (we don't know how true this is, or how much effort they will need to complete this), tmobile and att will be on hspa+, verizon is waiting till the end of 2010 and even then obviously on first launch it will not be nationwide.

Actually, Verizon has already been testing LTE in certain parts of the nation, with initial plans to fully roll it out later this year. I know because my uncle is one of the head guys doing it.

He never did tell me, however, exactly where it's currently available, though...
So here's to keeping your hopes up :occasion5:

it could also just be their major scheme, don't waste anytime with the mediocre 4g experience and jump directly to lte which offers up to 100mbps, this could be a plus for them or they could lose a couple of customers, no one actually knows.

Now you have realized the problem with having so many towers!

What's frustrating is that the city I visit the most in the country is Philly and they made the switch to 3G+ just after my last visit in August. I want to see it's power so badly!!!

i've noticed different reports, are you getting faster speeds in your area? are they noticably faster or you have to do a line speed test to figure out?
