K I'm in. Had an "expired" message to the scan so if any one wants to join and can't use the barcode send a PM to Courtney or myself with your pin we can do a manual invite.

From what I remember the barcode expires in like 2-3 months. I would remove it and then repost the barcode from scratch.

Something tells me you have already tried that. But hope it help.

Yeah it was wierd since Courtney had barely posted it but we would get an error saying the invite was already used... I kept thinking our other group worked longer.... so anyway, I tried a repost of the code my phone is giving for the group. Hope it holds! Now we just need some new members to give it a scan!


BTW the scan works for BBM 5 which can be run from any BB even without an OS 5... so upgrade BBMessenger via appworld. OR PM me with your PIN and I can send an invite directly to your phone without the need for scan..

I did try to get Mr.X to find out but he's not using bb as phone, only tweaking it. Yes, Budney if you could let us know did the barcode work that would be awesome :D

Eenie I took the barcode out for now. Feel free to do what you need to the thread once it's working for you. I have no clue what I did different from the first group that's no longer open.....

What are you guys using to create these barcodes? I'm not as familiar with BB as I am Android and WM.

No, its not something frosty can do its something with BBM
Frosty, BBM 5.X app creates matrix barcodes for user to scan with their BB to add PINs and Groups for the app. I go to the app and use "display barcode" then I screenshot it and post. So far it works for one person then its "used" rather than being good for all invites. So for now we need to just be PMed or posted PINs so any other member can invite.

Rick, I thought the same but for what I can see all admin does is let me invite others or allow others to invite others and to delete the group, there are no "tools"
