that damn mobile sync center

i reinstalled vista on my laptop and then proceeded to sync my htc diamond with it get get the contacts into outlook, and i set sync options to replace items on desktop....and it still clear my motherf**king phonebook on my phone...please please please tell me there is a god on this earth that can help me get them back!
