I am mad I wasn't able to get a code, as I was staying at a hotel the week this came out. I would of love to try this out. :(

Try this activation code: 5202744683210565
It should still be valid for DeepFish, but don't know how many times it will work.

That Activation code didn't work for me

OMG, I got my Activation Code finally! I signed up the day it came out

I'll post my thoughts (if any differ) later, gotta install now.

Update:
Build is 3/27/07 so there is no new updates to the program itself

On a Treo, it's not bad, not great. It looked better on the Q with 320x240--those extra pixels help with the smaller text.

I still find PIE + MuliIE (or PIE+), in single colum/full screen or just a nice RSS reader better, but this is a nice "option" for browsing regular websites.

is it like opera mini? where you can zoom in and out and such?

letsgoflyers81 06-28-2007 01:41 PM

It's not working for me. I can browse sites, but there's no option to zoom in. I'm using it on an HTC Mogul (6800). Am I missing something here?

Actually, it's quite different.

Deepfish "images" the web page on MS's servers and that's what you see on your device.

In turn, you can click the links and zoom in/out, much like the iPhone feature.

What you see is the true website, not reformatted for mobile devices. It works relatively fast but it's a "technical preview" which means it's not even Beta, so a lot of features are not enabled.

It's closer to Picsel browser than Opera.

Any update on this browser? Haven't heard much in a while and wonder when this thing will be available.

jamess1213 08-05-2007 07:58 PM

stick with opera mobile

i have tried both on my mogul... and opera mobile is by far a better browser. give it a try
