I am mad I wasn't able to get a code, as I was staying at a hotel the week this came out. I would of love to try this out. :(

Try this activation code: 5202744683210565
It should still be valid for DeepFish, but don't know how many times it will work. |
That Activation code didn't work for me

I'll post my thoughts (if any differ) later, gotta install now. Update: Build is 3/27/07 so there is no new updates to the program itself On a Treo, it's not bad, not great. It looked better on the Q with 320x240--those extra pixels help with the smaller text. I still find PIE + MuliIE (or PIE+), in single colum/full screen or just a nice RSS reader better, but this is a nice "option" for browsing regular websites. |
is it like opera mini? where you can zoom in and out and such?
|
It's not working for me. I can browse sites, but there's no option to zoom in. I'm using it on an HTC Mogul (6800). Am I missing something here?

Deepfish "images" the web page on MS's servers and that's what you see on your device. In turn, you can click the links and zoom in/out, much like the iPhone feature. What you see is the true website, not reformatted for mobile devices. It works relatively fast but it's a "technical preview" which means it's not even Beta, so a lot of features are not enabled. It's closer to Picsel browser than Opera. |
Any update on this browser? Haven't heard much in a while and wonder when this thing will be available.

stick with opera mobile
i have tried both on my mogul... and opera mobile is by far a better browser. give it a try
