I like the auto lock. Yup I got it today, now lets see what it costs me. I am going to check some of the other suggestions. Thanks for the list Mala 8)

Malatesta 02-15-2007 12:43 AM

Congrats on the arrival BigD. Hope it works for you. Those apps should get you started...

Malatesta 02-15-2007 01:14 AM

Update:

Added PocketLight on the list above.

bubbatex 02-15-2007 05:30 PM

Great list - I'll add two more:

ConvertIt (free): http://blogs.msdn.com/dglover/archiv...-released.aspx

And Spybot S&D (which is also free for your PC): http://www.safer-networking.org/en/wince/index.html

bubbatex 02-15-2007 06:49 PM

BTW - Installed Autolock - After going through the choices and hit "Done", I get this - "Error creating keyboard hook. Program is closed. (31)".

Suggestions?

Hmmm, not sure. List the settings I guess that you have for it.

You don't have any other keyboard-type programs installed like Qtask or QCaps?

bubbatex 02-16-2007 10:24 AM

I have tried them all - including the default install. I'll try re-installing it. No other keyboard related programs are loaded. I really hope this works - I like the notify features.

Big D5 02-16-2007 10:37 AM

Is there a way to increase the text size in Vieka WordPad :?:

I figured it out - disabled Vito Cut/Paste, then installed Auto Keylock and then enabled Vito again - all works well now. Keylock is great.

that's not true for all. mine still gives that same error while only vito is running.

bubbatex 03-03-2007 12:34 AM

"while only Vitro is running". Well, that's is your problem. Read closer. I said "disabled Vito Cut/Paste" - which means Vito is NOT running.

ok wow that's a horrible attitude to have. maybe you didn't understand. i DISABLED vito and then INSTALLED the autolock app THEN ENABLED vito again and received that error still. autolock would work flawlessly when vito wasn't running(after the install!!!) but soon as i enabled vito it did that error and did it over and over so i restarted and it worked fine. but overall didn't like it and uninstalled it.

sanyo 03-04-2007 08:53 PM

also, is there a known sms threader that actually works on the q?

ScandaLex 03-04-2007 09:16 PM

I think this title needs to be amended based on the first sentence in the original post:

Having a PPC means these programs arent for us which would have eliminated the need to open this and start reading just to find out...IMO

no i said "that's not true FOR all" meaning there are exceptions but at that time, like i said in last post, i had not restarted the phone and before that time it did give errors when i followed directions as posted. nonetheless, thanks for the tip on disabling vito to install the app.

Hey, are there any registry editors that will work on WM6 Standard? None of the ones I've found suggested on the site seem to work on my HTC S720.

Hey guys, just got my Mogul last night. Cant figure out how to run .cab files. Also, have downloaded some stuff to change my today look, but thats not working either. I have installed some programs, like spb and claunch. Cant figure out how to access program once installed. I feel kinda stupid. I want to get the bs off my phone too, and delete stuff that I shouldnt have downloaded. I cannot activesync, because I have vista, and am not sure if it backed up my phonebook and contacts... The phonebook is the only thing I care about. Please help! Thanks!

With Vista they replace Active Sync with Windows Mobile Device Center just download it from microsofts website.

To run cab files , just transfer it to ur PocketPc then open up the file explorer , go to the location u transferred the file and run the cab from there.

Once installed most program will put a shortcut in Start-> Program->

Bacup you contacts : http://www.1800pocketpc.com/2008/01/...ackup-v28.html

@ nicolej78 : try this : http://www.1800pocketpc.com/2008/03/...er-ver-14.html

My recommended application :
1) FtouchFlo : http://www.1800pocketpc.com/2008/03/...ws-mobile.html

2) icontacts : http://www.1800pocketpc.com/2008/07/...t-manager.html

Re: Must Have Software

I have read through the "must have software" and other areas for the Q. Didn't seem to see what I was searching for here. What I would like is a SMS program that is similar for XV6800. It operated like a chat program, where all of a single person's chat was in its own window...for BOTH inbox and sent items. I've searched, but am not sure if the only application that I found would work. There are no references to this software in this forum that I found. http://www.jgui.net/black/vistaspinterface/index.html is the website. Has anyone used it? It looks sweet...I could be wrong, though. Thanks for your help in advance. I apologize if this question has been answered...just got the phone 2 days ago and the SMS feature is frustrating to me.

I think this would be a good addition.

http://www.apptodate.org/dupededupe.cab

It removes duplicate contacts from your phone.
