Get rid of security settings

So I have an HTC snap. My work forced a security setting on my phone so it automatically locks like every 15 minues and I have to enter an 8 digit code to unlock it every time.

I've tried to deselect this function but it will not allow me to.

Is there a way to dissable this feature so that it doesn't lock and require so many key strokes every time to access my phone yet make my companies software think it is enabled so that I can still connect to the exchange server to get my e-mail etc?

Thanks for any help!

Re: Get rid of security settings

I can really feel for you. The security settings can really be very troublesome for anybody. So it is very advisable that you should first of all check all the settings on your phone and then try again. If the problem still persists then try please try reinstalling the firmware. I hope this solves your concern and i really wish that you get what you need.
Good luck !!!
Regards
Don

Re: Get rid of security settings

i would be carefull when trying to circumvent anything that your company may have put in place. with the guys around here im sure it wouldnt be to hard to figure out but at the same time just remember that this feature has been implemented for a reason. and what ever you do just make sure that you dont break any company policies... it may be more trouble than its worth. in any case, good luck to ya!

Re: Get rid of security settings

How about tell your IT manager to lengthen the time like 1 hour instead of 15 minutes.
