FRX 0.71 Text Message force close

Just wondering if this is normal... whenever I start typing a text message, I get about 4 or 5 words down and then the cursor stops moving, the letters I just typed don't appear, and I get a typical Android 'Messaging has stopped working' error message. I can always hit 'Wait' instead of FC and it always recovers and I'm able to type another 4 or 5 words.

If I go REALLY slow typing, it's usually ok but man it's hard to type that slow. Is this typical? If so I'll probably go back to WinMo.

Thanks for all the work on getting Android on the TP2 though, pretty amazing

I would say that's NOT typical.

However, multitasking does not work so well on these tired old phones. Make sure you don't have a billion apps/widgets running. The Facebook app is particularly bad, and some have said simply removing it has resolved all their issues.

Ok thanks. I'll play around and start tweaking. Not using FB but android does seem to like to load a bajillion things you're not using (like search, maps, bunch of other stuff).
