Re: HELP!! Phone wont ring but vibrates
Yes highland i know that your builds are for testing only purposes and that you don't want ppl blaming you for screwing up there phone etc but when i started this thread i did point out that im not asking for YOUR help or any other developers help.
I made the thread in hopes that maybe some user such as myself may have been messing around in the setting and was able to fix the ringing issue. I am well aware that your build is solely for testing purposes and that was exactly what i was doing with it testing it. The speakerphone also doesn't work when you try to use it as well and i tried the VM trick and that didnt fix the issue. But about the ringer i did read in ther audio routing thread that if you are say watching a video or playing a MP3 or in other words the speaker is active when a call comes in that it will ring. I also did notice that it does ring intermittently and also sometimes even plays like a half a second clip of the ringtone than stops ringing. really strange. If anyopne is still using the test build you can put your phone to always vibrate and it will vibrate all the time with no issues, if your phone is anything like mine it might vibrate louder than it rings But again i wasnt trying to get flamed for making this thread all i was simply doing was posting it up to see if maybe another user noticed it and was able to change some simple setting and make it work than the information would be out there for anyone to see. but thx for everything u guys do you. i have never had the same phone for this long and I owe that to everyone over here at ppcgeeks and xda for breathing new life into my phone! Looking forward to FROX7!!! Last edited by steveoski; 06-23-2011 at 12:47 PM. |

Works with latest .39 kernel
Installed the latest .39 kernel from the autobuild (6/24) and now all audio works including ringtones using HYC's FRX06+. The logs from the git repo say that there were fixes to JB's audio code. You guys might want to see if this solves the problem for you as well.

Re: Works with latest .39 kernel
Speakerphone is broken, AFAIK the dual mic code wasn't available at all. There's new userland libs, but I don't think hyc has pulled them into his system image.
