They're obtained from your carrier and locked by the RIL. If you edit the RIL, you may be able to force change it, but i've never been able to. This is not just XDAndroid, it's a bug in almost all android phones after 2.1. Google it.

Re: How do you change mcc and mnc FROYO BLAZIN

read that post already.
data works out of the box on most carriers
data seems to work just fine.
but mms does not, mnc should be 00 not 995, according to my phone.
and yeah data works and thats just nifty, but in order to troubleshoot settings, we need to make sure all settings are correct in order to rule out possibilities. from what i can tell, the phone sends via internet as it should but it attempts to download mms via 1x which it shouldnt. the problem lies somewhere there in.

So you can send but not recieve on CDMA? If so, then your in the same boat as everyone else running XDAndroid on CDMA. Google for "IRC logs hamagc mms". He was the last to play with the MMS issue, but failed as well.

Re: How do you change mcc and mnc FROYO BLAZIN

Does your carrier MMC=310, MNC=995, CDMA network?
If it is, unfortunately, these two value is writed in libhtcgeneric-ril.so.
You need to modify source code to change MMC and MNC.

Re: How do you change mcc and mnc FROYO BLAZIN

Yes, that's correct. As I said, they can can be changed in the RIL. Hopefully sometime this week, wistilt2's radio guy will have a look at the RIL we've been using thus far and find some fixes. Progress is progressing quiet well these days, but if you find any fixes... by all means, post them.
