Should work just fine, force_cdma=1 in your startup.txt.

Phone won't work as phone CDMA and GSM, one or the other basically.

Edit - as pointed out below, for GSM you need force_cdma=0 or remove the value entirely, the default is 0. I shouldn't post late at night... Being drunk probably doesn't help either
