Where do you store these *.pls files...? If they're just sitting at the root of your sd have you tried putting them in a folder? I've never heard of this before. |

Storage Card\My Music\STATIONS\genre\*
EDIT: Forgot to mention that this behavior persists even after I format the card as FAT32 using defaults in Windows 7. Last edited by Androktasie; 11-05-2010 at 12:25 AM. |

It's BLAZN. No clue why or how, but on Reference I don't get the issue. Last edited by arrrghhh; 11-05-2010 at 12:40 PM. |

Re: Booting Android deletes Playlists
Ah. Thanks for the assurance that I'm not going crazy
Is there a bugtracker for BLAZN that I should be submiting this to? I noticed on both the XDA and PPCG threads that they're not intended for customer support. |

Re: Booting Android deletes Playlists
Well I am going to keep testing... This seems very odd to me. I put a ton of other file types in there, and they didn't get deleted... So this is definitely an odd one. I'm not convinced it's only BLAZN at this point.

Re: Booting Android deletes Playlists
It's got to be an included app or something that is clearing them out. There is nothing in initrd or rootfs that look at that directory or do any recursive searches for .pls files. I would test it out by putting pls files in there, then remove applications (starting with media players) until they stop disappearing.

Re: Booting Android deletes Playlists
So this is very odd. First boot I just recreated the folder structure and threw some .pls files in there. They all got wiped when I booted into BLAZN. Then when I booted reference, I put some .pls files in there with a bunch of other files. Nothing got removed. So I removed everything but the .pls files, booted reference again and nothing got removed. Booted BLAZN again and STILL nothing was removed. All the .pls files were still there.
So it was only that first boot. I don't get it... |

Interesting. I wish I could reproduce that somehow, but with my luck those files get hosed every time I boot. |

I used to use BLAZN, but now I'm running reference (10/25), with the latest rootfs and kernel (11/8 and 11/3, respectively). It's possible, however, that I'm still carrying an app or other left over file from BLAZN. arrrghhh -- if you get a chance, can you check if this issue is reproducible for you? Thanks a lot! |
