Wifi Tethering
 

The article on the following site shows a screen shot of Portable Wifi hotspot, but I do not see it when I boot to Android. Am I doing something wrong?

Are you running FRX01? That's what I'm running, and it is present under Settings, Wireless & network settings, Tethering & portable hotspot.

I think I answered my own question. I am running BLAZN.

ProjectAndroid2.2BLAZN.092810

That might be my problem. Agreed?

(I tried ProjectAndroid2.2Froyo.092810 and it never asked me where to install the app. It locked up the phone.)

I downloaded barnacle wifi tether. Works with wpa-supplement turned off.

Though I started having acore process issues the next reboot.

Otherwise all I see is USB tethering

Agreed. I only see USB on the BLAZN build. FROYO has Wifi. Strange.

Have you tried USB tethering? Does it work? (I wonder if it works with a Mac?)

USB is disabled for debugging only so no it will not work, wifi tether only right now boys!!!!:cheers:

Wifi Tethering is not included in BLAZN. FROYO won't load on my device. :-(

so i just noticed my wifi doesnt even work.. im guessing its never worked because im still using one of the original setups.. only thing ive changed since the begining was the zimage and module to get sound..

so what do i need to change to just get wifi working?? if it omes down to wifi or gps, ill live without gps..

The number 1 cause of wifi not working is not using the right modules file. The modules and zImage are a pair and must be from the same compile or some drivers will not work.
