Is it just me who thinks the tp2 would just be the most awesome phone on the market...if they simply re-released it with Android natively??

Just need an updated processor, front facing camera, and a touch capacitive screen and it'd be one of the best.

Yes, I don't think it really needs much else. Maybe an updated (rear) camera?

And a flash! I miss the TP1 flash.

The specs are a bit dated compared to the newer phones but it is still a competent smart phone.

But I agree with the previous posters. It needs a LED flash/flashlight.

Check out the HTC Lexikon. Its basically what your askin for, slide keyboard, 5mp camera with flash and andriod 2.2

+1 for LED flash... It has it all except that... And the FM Radio that was taken out for those that do use it...

True but neither of these are available on Verizon, which is the guy who started this thread's carrier. Verizon is releasing a similiar to the G2 called the Lexikon.

If they bumbed the specs to that of the HD2 it could run android "un-natively" just fine doesnt the HD2 have a lot of success running android?
I don't think I could give up groovemobile or groove downloader that easily. Also, comic reader mobi doesn't have a android port yet either.
