[NEED HELP]Anyone know how to let the 3.5mm jack work on srpint tp2?

Tried to modifiy the STARTUP.TXT but still cannot use any 3.5 headset on my sprint touch pro2,anyone knows how to fix it ?

plug in earphones > call voicemail > boot android without hanging up

earphones will work, but speakers won't

I tried that fix, ran voicemail while connected to headphones, and pandora still plays on the main speakers :-/

You have to do the comment in the startup.txt AND the vm trick while booting to get it to work.

snd.force_headset=2 - goes in the cmdline section.

This WILL break ALL sound other than the 3.5mm jack. Also, I've noticed some odd noises coming from the speaker when I play audio thru the jack.

If you use this text addition, but don't use the headphone+voicemail trick does it still kill all non-headphone audio.

Just trying to figure out if it's worth bothering with this as I only use the audio jack (on WM) when in the car to listen to podcasts. If I could add the text but not have it kill all audio for times when I don't want the headphone jack I'd actually use this workaround.

True enough, but it also doesn't make the 3.5mm headphone jack work... so it basically does all the bad things with none of the good
