How did you format it? You may want to use the HP format tool or GParted instead of the 'built-in' Windows format utility...

Sorry, should've linked 'em in my previous post!

HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool

GParted LiveCD (among other methods...)

So there ya go. FAT32 for SD cards, yes. FAT (aka FAT16) would allow only 2gb max partition size. I think NTFS and other journaled file systems are not recommended for SD cards. Please correct me if I'm wrong here, but that's my understanding!

Re: Waiting for sd card

I am having the same issue using a 4Gb card, which worked on builds prior to 1/21/11. I used the tools above to long format as FAT32, but still get the "Waiting for SD card" message over and over.

If I load andboot files to the stock 512mb card, Android boots no problem. I don't understand why my 4Gb no longer works, even though WM uses it just fine.

Any other ideas?

Sorry, forgot about the new kernels busting some SD cards.

Put these two commands in the 'cmdline' section of your startup.txt and try again:
Code:

msmsdcc_1bit msmsdcc_fmax=14000000

That worked, thank you!
