What is funny is that since I am not married to this version, i downloaded the XDAndroid2.2Froyo.121610 version rather than the BLAZIN version, which I thought did not have this installed and I go right to the web browser after running Harit. I cannot get out of it. It looks like this clever guy puts some files somewhere to "encourage" you to buy his software one way or another. The problem is even if I did want to pay the blackmail I could not get to a place to put in the authorization code....

IIRC that's where it happened with me too, and I do have the "donate" version or whatever the heck it's called. You have to remove it, I don't recall exactly where it was, but I believe it was in winmo and searching through the files I was able to remove it completely. It's called fede.xxxx something or other, didn't just jump out at you as the right file but that was it. I'm working now and playing on android, but later or tomorrow morning I'll get into it and let you know how to get around it if you haven't fixed it yet. But you need to have another launcher on there, ADW, launcher, etc, but there needs to be one. And also get home switcher or one like that to set the other launcher as your default. Just uninstalling it doesn't work with titanium backup IIRC because the apk is still there and will reload on reboot.

Thanks, but I think my install(s) is completely screwed up as i get nothing but a dead browser and their URL with no way to download anything. I thought this thing was sandboxed into the folder on the storage card. I guess I am wrong. So I cannot download anything as an alternative. No fede.xxxx in the /Windows/ folder....

Lol, sorry bro, it wasn't in a windows folder, I meant when I was in winmo I was looking around in the android folders and found it, and it wasn't literally fede.xxxxx, it was fede.something or other, but didn't jump out saying "launcherpro" which is what I was expecting. I'm booting back into winmo right now, I'll update and edit this post if I can find it. I just loaded that file back onto my phone to play around and find this thing because I know how frustrating it was for me.

Edit: Jerryyyy, here's an apk for LP 0.8.2, try dropping this into the app folder and when in android if it doesn't load, try launching it by going to that folder using oi file manager or astro. Here's also a link to an android forum that's talking about this recently. I guess the developer has been having some issues with this lately. I can't for the life of me figure out how I got it working again, but I'm going to keep playing at it. I may have to reload the same build and tinker with it as I've changed a bunch of things since then and can't see to replicate it without having it the same way. Let me know if any of this helps. I just gave up and deleted all the files off the storage card and moved over a fresh copy of Froyo. I hope it launches OK. I could not check any files on the install frozen as it was.

Since I am just testing this to see if I want to go Android on my next phone, so no big deal, just frustrating as I started to like the OS.

Looks like it does not help to pay the $2.99.

I got it for the full page facebook but other than that, it's not worth it IMO. There's so many different launchers out there that do the same thing, I wouldn't pay again. If you're looking for a decent android set up, take a look at Tiad's latest work. It gets a little confusing, but I've been running both his sense and froyo set ups and I've gotta say they're sweet. It's a little overwhelming how you initially set them up, the steps to follow, but I can tell you they run smooth as hell and no force closes, etc. And there's plenty of support in there if you've got questions. I may take you up on the PM. I hope Google finds my quote on what a rip-off launcherpro is. Keyword=scam. After reinstalling the Froyo and Blazin versions after completely removing all folders from my storage card, I wind up back at their #$#%$ website. I also see the radio is not working...

I have to say I read the Tiad's info and it did look a bit intimidating. I have been trying to test some music streaming software before I decide to buy an Android phone (SubSonic).

Ndno just put together a nice write up for loading up Tiad's Froyo x which screams, fast as hell, stable, minimal force closes, take a look at that if you're interested, it's not that difficult, he's just got steps he does and recommends to make it run better and I believe it works. Also, ACL has gotten headphones to work through the usb adapter and is working on the 3.5mm plug so hopefully this thing will be fully working soon.

For the record, this installed eventually fine. I am not sure I found the best build, but it functions well without the problems noted above.

The simple way to remove any application built with ROM is using terminal. But this way is for pro user only, it can damage your ROM and need to restore system.ext2 if android can not boot again :)

First, open terminal, you can use Terminal Emulator or Connect Bot then type following commands:
you need check launcherpro's apk file name then use command:
to remove launcherpro which launcherpro.apk is the launcherpro's apk file name.
