well.. i have a question about the ril... i dont know how to update it... i dont even know what it is... and the radio is 2.21.00WV.. im really noob with this.. if u can explain me in a really antislow people way how to update it i can try it man.. and really thx...

Well let's start with a radio firmware update. See teradog's post on radio firmware upgrade. If you can flash custom ROM's (hSPL) then you should be able to flash that radio no problem.

I want you to try it with the updated radio. If it's still failing in the same way, then read this thread I'm going to point you to. You'll probably be confused. Read the first 6 posts, post #6 is where I want you to stop. [COMPLETED] New more stable ril - xda-developers

Next, I want you to read CDMA RAPH/DIAM FRX07 Fix!!!! - xda-developers - just the first post. Do what it says in the first post, and your RIL is updated! Again, you should only need to go thru that if the radio update doesn't fix the issue. If it still doesn't fix the issue... well then I'll definitely need some logs of the condition. We'll cross that bridge when we get there ;).

A quick question, anyone got this problem with the speaker?

Every time I pick up a phone call or place a phone call, sounds come out from both front and rear speakers, the sound coming from rear speaker is with lots of noise. I have to turn on then turn off the speaker on dial panel to shut down the rear speaker. It is really annoying.

Can anyone help? Thanks.

You've found the workaround - flip speaker on/off, fixed.

The permanent fix is the new acoustic code. Right now audio routing is... let's just say broken. It's a kernel-only affair, userland has no input on where to route audio. So the kernel does its best to 'guess' where to send the audio, but it doesn't always guess right. So understandably there's some issues with this...

JB was working like a freight train on that audio routing code, but I haven't seen anything new on it in a while. Unfortunate, since it seemed *almost* ready. You can play with the code if you wish, audio works much better for the most part... but it's experimental code. Things like all audio not working has been reported, and I definitely noticed the lack of mic working while in speakerphone mode... so the far-end can't hear you while using the speakerphone.

The other fix is to turn off the dialing tones (DTMF)... when those play they automatically route all audio to the external speaker and it doesn't come back on it's own.

Just goto ebay and put in "Touch Pro 2 Video"

tons of cables under $15.

I thought Deal Extreme had one too but I can't find it.

Good list. But need to add Light Sensor to this list. Light sensor and Autobacklight go hand in hand and its probably something i will be attacking.

i would love to work on the tv out. But that cable is more rare than a virgin in a night club.

Some small problem here, sometimes i can't make/receive a call. When it's an outgoing call it just ends before i get a connection. Have changed kernell but it still stays. Anyone a solution for this one??
