Found this on XDA... testing it now

step 2: go into your apn settings
menu -> settings -> wireless & network settings -> Mobile Networks -> APN's

step 3: you should see an apn listed called android, click on it to edit the APN

step 4: change its settings so they match this

settings: APN
Name: internet
APN: Android
Proxy:<Not set>
Port:<Not set>
Username:<Not set>
Password:<Not set>
Server:<Not set>
MMSC:http://63.215.195.152/servlets/mms?X-SPRINT-MDN=(10 digit phone number)
MMS proxy:<Not set>
MMS Port: 80
MMC:310
MNC:995
Authentication Type:<Not set>
APN type:<Not set>

step 5: hit menu and choose save the apn

step 6: reboot

I am all for this to be fixed... but why work on MMS when you don't have a functional camera to send new pics?

Seems kinda backward to me.

I was more concerned about receiving MMS. Ppl would send me MMS and I'd never receive em.

Same here. I did what they had posted and it did enable me to send pictures, but that is it. I really need to be able to receive them, that is my main concern, sorry I did not state that more clearly before. I do appreciate the help and improvement though, don't get me wrong.

Can anyone post the contents of /system/app and post them here? I just got a Fascinate and there is an MMS.apk which I'm thinking has the MMS settings in it, so maybe we just need to get that file for MMS to start working for the various carriers.

where do I get the mms.apk? I'd be more than happy to be the tester for this project. I did what was stated on xda but only can send mms not receive em. so post a link for that apk!

Maybe a Sprint user that has an Android phone can get the apk and post it as I'm guessing they're different for all carriers. Would a Verizon user be able to extract the attached zip and put both files in /system/app (overwrite the current MMS.apk file) and see if you can send/receive messages?

I'm trying to get the mms.apk's from Flyers and Darklord, both are on Sprint, DL has an Evo and flyers has the Epic. What other files would you need them to get off their phones?
