I guess everyone is celebrating .. yes its true.. sound is finally there. Its not 100% complete since we are still working to make some changes, but its there.

Please do your very best to thank and contribute to the devs. Jonpry and Wozzer have put a lot of time recently into the builds and thanks Pohket careful eyes, they were able to put something together that fixed this issue we have been dealing with for months now.

Course none of this would have been possible without the guidance of the guys who have worked on the kernel since day one. So like always a special thanks to PHH and the other device devs who constantly help contribute.

I have been holding off trying the Android port because of the sound issue, this is truly stupendous news.

i thought i read somewhere that the issue with sound was similar to the issue with 3d and that if u found out how to fix one of those it would be easier to fix the other. is this true? how is 3d looking now?

edit: and i almost forgot... CONGRATS on getting sound working. u guys do great work together!

[ACL], Thanx for the hard work I just donated to PHH and I guess thats the only person since no one else thats been working on this has a donation button.

If you ever get a donation button, I'll make sure to donate. I was just about to get the Epic 4G but I wasn't convinced since I just got a huge Plasma to watch my team, the New England Patriots. Now my phone has a OS that is actually wort the money I spent on it.

I feel like the little pig that cried 'Wee Wee Weeee' all the way home! I don't even notice the hissing/static until I put it up to my ear because I keep it in a holster on my belt. Woo hoo!

I have been watching the irc logs for a few months now, thank you everyone for all of your hard work.

It looks like this is getting close to being what I said I wanted in the bounty thread. With so many people working on this project I am not sure who I would donate to.

Just updated and booted into Android. I'm kind of unimpressed by the default sounds for things. I expected something more than what I heard, and I like some of the default WinMo sounds better. At least they can be changed.

So very excited. I'll be watching with even more baited breath for a new clean install with the sound bugs worked out. This was the only thing keeping me from running Android nonstop on my phone instead of WinMo.

heck ya. !!!once we get a fully working android.. sound camera etc.. I think alot of folks will be sooo happy.. I dont get an upgrade til dec.. and then I might even hold off if we get android perfected on our tp2.. etc..

this is awesome!!!! i want android for the tp2 so bad, but the camera, the sound, and bt was holding me back! but now that sound is working! I am sure that we will get the camera and maybe even bt working! I wish I knew the code better so i could try and help. But huge props to the devs, I really appreciate your work!

I didnt really care for pandora/slacker on android..( nice back ups ) while they were nice and all. last.fm for me was way better.. more variety in what was played.. vs the same junk over and over etc..

But either way.. having sound finally.. is huge..

I believe, that in layman's terms, the Dev's started counting at 1 instead of 0 when either enumerating or connecting to the registers for sound...based on the posts in another thread.

Not that I blame them...please don't take it that way, that was NOT my intention, simply answering the question as posed. I sometimes feel lucky to be able to successfully count to A in hex.

we can reverse engineer the tp2 but dont know how to put a donate button up .. lol
