Thanks for a great explanation, and all the work you all put in.

I used to be a programmer years ago, and new C+ but I'm a little outdated and wouldn't know where to start helping;
Anyone written up a quick and dirty guide to helping? Maybe if we throw enough programmes at it we will find it?

Just thinking logically here... Next week, is this week, and he said they'll be getting started... so my guess is that it is going to take them some time to decompile/disassemble it all. Run it through a few verification processes, as any business that intends to stay in business would, and then submit the work back to the customer... I wouldn't expect anything until the end of the week at the VERY LEAST and that's a pretty damn short time for this kind of work. Just a guess.

Maybe someone can get in contact with Darch or Cyanogen.. they fixed sound problems on various kernels on android phones with the newer updates. they might have an idea on this.. just throwing it out there.
