You have confused not possible and not able. Almost anything is possible given enough time and thought. You could make the phone sing and dance with the iphone OS running an emulated android in the background if you really wanted, granted it would probably require a SIGNIFICANT amount of time, not to mention some drastic modifications to the hardware to account for the dancing part... But it's still possible.

All he said there is that they need more information or ELSE it won't happen. Which is true about any aspect of any development process.

And what he said there isn't entirely accurate anyways, They can also go about it by hardware debugging rather than software disassembly... There are always ways to do things...

Again the issue comes back down to the same old story... Time... You guys have no idea how long it takes to disassemble even a little portion of a file let alone the entire thing... Even trained professionals that do this day in and day out struggle with it. And these are just people doing this in their spare time away from their own personal lives... (or in some cases, made this their personal lives ;) )

Again, it was never "Not possible." It's just that it takes a lot of time and trial and error and so on and so forth to even come up with any type of results at all and there are a limited amount of developers that actually know what their doing that are ACTIVE on the project as it is...

Any progress on haret?

where can i find those parsing scripts you mentioned earlier?
I also pulled the trigger on the freelancer thing. they'll be getting started next week on the decompiling of the driver. I'll post up what they give me for verification. (Any quick/dirty way i can verify what they give me isn't worthless?)

ok, so you got a freelancer to decompile ? No idea how to check. If i knew arm asm, id probably would have figured this out by now.

not at all.. android itself has nothing to do with the issue. its all kernel related.

Well today when I was setting up the latest xdaandroid on my device when I was clicking the onscreen buttons to configure my gmail account I could here the slightest beeps. They happened only when I clicked the button and not just when i touched anywhere on the screen. Was just something I noticed.
