market installed apk location?

hey everybody. . . . i've done a few searches and came up short. does anyone know where the market installed apks are located on the SD card? i've installed many (since the only ones that come up are all free) but i don't see them when looking in the "androidapps" folder using Astro. . . . the only ones in the "androidapps" folder are the manually installed apks.

Market downloaded and installed apps are in the /system/app folder.

You will also find the ones that come with your android build but unable to delete those.


Unless you convert your system.sqsh file into an system.ext2 file. If you wish to do this you will need the Stay Safe App and follow the guide here. Not recommended if you run the CAB or startup tool updater.

*this will NOT fix the facebook app from updating/installing fresh with XAndroid builds.

You can also break your android if you change/delete the wrong files! Experts only suggested but feel free to learn!

Thanks for replying. . . . that's a bit over my head, though. However, i did some more searching and came across a program called Titanium Backup which did exactly what i needed very easily.
