[CAB](XDA) Android 2.0.1 - Easier Install

In case the noobs are slightly overwhelmed with Android on TP2, this makes it VERY VERY easy....it's literally a cab install and creates a shortcut in your programs list.

NOTE: must be installed to storage card. When the startup text selection pops up, remember we're RHODIUM.

NOTE: I didn't make this, found it on XDA, just thought it'd be easier for others.

I seem to have missed this one, else I wouldn't have added to the confusion. I saw another one on here but it seemed more confusing than actually figuring it out for yourself

Thanks for sharing. Maybe we can get a few choices on here for the noobs. Does that one install to SD or a folder on the SD? The XDA one installs to /Storage Card/Android.

It installs to a folder on the storage card.

I got an error message stating:

"Failed to find rootfs on SD Card. You need to unzip a rootfs zip file to the root of your SD card."
"can't access tty; job control turned off"

I took out the SIM card before installing and chose Rhodium. For some reason during the boot process it shows the Diamond and Raphael in the top left corner.

I'm gonna try to move the rootfs.img file to the SD card and see if this helps.

PS. As you all can probably tell by now, I'm still noob at this, lol

Finally got it to load. Looked really nice, until I tried to use it, lol. I decided to remove it and just wait til a fully functioning port is finished. Anyways, thanks for posting this, I wanted to see how Android would look on my phone and it looked good. I didnt see it on the remove programs folder, so I just deleted all the files off of my SD card, but I still have the Android icon in my start menu. Anyone know how to remove it?

In file explorer:
device/windows/start menu/programs --delete "Android"
