WinMo Rom with Android cooked in?

Is this possible?

Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.80 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/5.0.3521/1114; U; en) Presto/2.4.15)

No since it runs from the SD card.

at the moment the closest thing to description is _
Calkulin's stripped Rom_ which copy over

haret.exe
initrd.gz
startup.txt
zImage

to the internal memory at the time of the first boot. these files must be location on the root of sd.

"if im not mistaking or misreading"

hope this help...

It is actually very possible...
All a ROM with android would be is a Barebones WinMo 6.1 or 6.5 or whichever ROM.
With XDA_UC implemented so that Android was place on SD Card...
Pretty simple actually...

But to be honest I dont really see why you would need it...just download the Android Port and place on your storage card...pretty easy ...lol

With custom Roms, can't you set it to look for android on the internal storage?
and boot directly on startup?

I suppose you could....but why would you?
Its so simple as it is already running it from your SD Card...

Well I wrote custom apps to install android onto sd card on first boot.

I don't think that is possible yet, but i have not delved into android development yet.

One would think android would run faster off internal memory, but I dont know if thats true. Since its linux based probably doesnt matter.

Yeah I thought it might as well...
I cook Droid Eris Roms and WinMo....
But since this is a Port, i really think it wont ever run "natural" on internal...

I think it will probably eventually run from NAND. The Vogue port does. Who knows when, though.

No proof that it'll run any faster from internal, though. The SD card is actually faster storage, I have heard.
