Just an update on the Market Enabler, I was using the one from Verizon on my Sprint TP2, and it worked but noticed there were some apps that didn't show up. Well I installed the ME app on wifes Hero and it has 310120 for Sprint, so you might try that if you are on Sprint, it fixed some apps that didn't show up for me. Updating the FAQ

Do you suppose that it might be this way because each provider can choose what applications they want to show in their market? Or are they not allowed to decide what shows up in them?

Well... decided to try this android thing... and with this great tutorial, I got it up and running.

But lo and behold, my network was working and i was even on 3g, but all of a sudden i lost connection.

Going into the "search for networks" just results in a FOREVER spinning circle.

Any help?

Dude. Someone mentioned earlier to try and remove the SIM card... i didi that and now it finds the Sprint Network. and with that all my contacts that i had transfered via Activesync (instructions also posted earlier) everything is there!!!!

SWEET!!! Try it out and Report on Sucess or failure... now we have to pray for the other stuff to work (camera, speaker, GPS..etc..) But these guys have done such an improvement on previous versions!!! I can almost use it during the day... without having to go to Windows Mobile!!!! sweet!!!!!!!

Not sure, trying to find out. But there was definitely a difference for me. I know some apps should only be available by phone type/version of OS, so maybe each # corresponds to that. Mine was pulled from a Sprint Hero. So would be interesting to find out the # like from a Moment to see if it is different. If anyone has a Sprint Hero, just install the Market Enabler and run it, it shows what your number is set to, you don't need to create a new one. See if it is the 310120. If not, let us know what it is, same on someone that has like a Verizon Droid or Hero on Verizon.

It doesn't have to be unlocked to run Haret. Just follow the steps in post #1 and 2. But is Vodafone CDMA? Thought they were GSM, which case you are following the wrong thread.

Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.80 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/5.0.18302/1092; U; en) Presto/2.4.15)

I was able to use the market enabler to install Skype, but it won't run, tells me it only runs on Verizon devices (which me TP2 is).

--edit--
I'm pretty much done with posting from my phone with Opera. I originally posted this message from Android via Opera mini, main problem there was Android's horrible auto correction, which I've since turned off (I can't type the word "it" without it changing it to "UT", one example of many common words it changes on me), after I finally thought it was ok and posted the message, it was all hosed up and made no sense. I tried to edit it multiple times in Android/Opera Mini and it just never made the changes. Booted into WinMo/Opera Mini, same problem. Tried Opera mobile 10 in WinMo, same problem, just wouldn't change the post, even if it said it did. I don't know if the problem is Opera or using the mobile site or the two together, but something is broken. It's pretty common for a new post from my mobile to not even get posted from Opera using the mobile site. Quite annoying.

Well, Ive got an interesting issue I'll share. Just grabbed the lastest 3/23 zip. I've had an old Jan build on my sprint TP2 for awhile, wiped it out and booted this one up.

Everything loads up fine, but I'm stuck in airplane mode! When I uncheck it, it just hangs, doesn't freeze the phone, but status won't change. The odd thing is, I can turn on wifi, find my network, even connect to it. But nothing comes across. Can't browse. Seems strange that bluetooth and mobile networks are greyed out because of airplane, but wifi isn't, just doesn't work all the way.

Heard of this before? New one for me.

You tried restarting a few times?
