Each release is dated. The date on the file is the date the kernel and zImage were put up on glemsoms.

Everything on the 3.20 seem ok for me, had a few unexpected reboots but its working pretty solid now. Can't wait for sound.

I do not think there is any difference for the TP2. I always just like using the most current stuff.

you can just delete the modules tar file and your zImage from your SD and use the zImage and modules file out of the download (copy to your sd card)

I had stumbled upon a link that posts the latest kernal i think...it wasn't hard to just change the zImage and replace the kernal.

if it is the same...then this build ROCKS...fast and smooth. I'm patiently waiting for sound...so that I can give android a fulltime test run.

Runs pretty solid for me.

I know it isnt "hard" to do but people like the complete package downloads so I am just doing what I can to help the community. There are many that like it this way.

This includes the new rootfs to allow you to tether via wifi. This was given out on 3/19/09 by cflint and I guess stinebd built it into Pip's rootfs.img .

As with any tethering, be careful. Not sure if it's detected by the carrier or not. Do not hold me responsible for any charges by your carrier.

I have played around with it for a few before I included it in my all in one deal.

If your already using my downloads, just copy over the rootfs and replace the one already on your storage card.


Please note you may get a few unexpected restarts. As you know this sometimes happens, it will get worked out eventually.

You will need to use a tethering program like one found here: http://xdandroid.southcape.org/xdandroid-tether.apk

Hey, thanks for the help && effort! Couple of questions that I haven't seen an answer to yet (if they're there, then I'm just blind and retarded..)

1) is there an 'auto-build' like site for the rootfs image? (That works w/cdma..) I've found one, but it was the gsm branch...

2) is anybody else not able to turn on wifi? It seems that ever since I stopped using the last last rootfs that 95-civic posted back in the original(original) thread, every time I try to turn on wifi in android, it just says 'unable to start wifi'. Ive verified that wifi works in wm (tried leaving it connected in wm, and disconnected, but on before launching haret)

Zimage/modules -- various (usually newest from auto-build)
Rootfs -- newest was dated 3/1/10 - but any after 95-civic's last all-in-one package

Phone -- verizon TP2 stock rom (sim removed)

Other than that loving android WAY more than wm, just need to be able to reliably charge and I'm golden for a while :)

1. Not sure but I don't think so. Think that is the reason for our stickied thread for the CDMA Android development.

2. Wifi not an issue for me, I use it hourly just about when I am playing with Android.

Have you tried my complete download? Remove everything from your storage card that is related to Android and maybe start over.

wifi tethering is it I believe. Eveything runs good though so nothing to be alarmed of. Your call though.

awesome, thanks nice work.
For people like me this is GREAT. i dont stalk the forums everyday for updates only on here every 3-4 weeks (usually when a new update rom comes out). So a single package with all the updates packed in helps, saves me time from goig through every post looking at whats new and what i need to do.

I'm beginning to like this thread alot better. It's good to have the OP involved in his own thread.

I applaud Mr Pippy for all his contributions but it's too bad he doesn't contribute at all to the actual thread (esp if you ask for donations).

He is the one that got data working. He is all behind the scenes making the screen better. Making the sound work. Then he has us helping each other out with installing.

Trying to make the stuff and helping the noobs install it would eat up too much of his time when he could spend it fixing things.

I do applaud him. I do think he deserves it. But I just wish he would give some updates even if it is just information. I think that thread got out of control partly because there was so much speculation. My main point is that it's good to have the OP involved in his own thread.

Glad you enjoy it guys. Without Pip, we wouldn't be where we are. Without Civic, we wouldnt be where we are. Without the guys in the IRC, we wouldn't be where we are. Anyone else that's helped.

However, I just give out the final product. I do have some Linux knowledge, especially with Ubuntu so I have some background but I am by no means developing anything new into the equation.

And yes, I do reply to my threads daily.

He seems like a quiet person, he don't say alot in IRC either and I am on 24/7 on my Linux box. However, could be because he is working hard.
