I got it working by starting haret while connected to the PC via a usb cable, the battery shows 100% and does not show a charge decrease but it does charge.

Have you tried my complete download? Remove everything from your storage card that is related to Android and maybe start over.
Woot! got WiFi working again, apparently I have been installing the modules file incorrectly, I was renaming it to just modules.tar.gz 9removing the date stamp), downloaded the newest autobuild and left the modules name alone and bam! working again. can I suggest maybe adding this to one of the FAQs around (if its not already..)

Now to see if charging is 'working' :)

Yeah only thing you have to rename is zImage from the auotobuild site.
