Force CDMA should be checked, since you are on CDMA network.

The handset that you choose just coordinates with the keyboard you use. Its all controlled by the startup.txt file in your andboot folder. Read the FAQ, it will give you even more commands to use.

I haven't noticed a real difference in smoothness on my RHOD100, but then again, it used to be pretty smooth already before the fix.
I noticed the first few minutes with this new build were pretty slow and hangy, but after a few minutes it smoothed out and things have been fast ever since. WM is starting to feel slow and laggy now, even with the newest energyROM... (and thats a good thing for android!) :D

You really need to give it some time after booting before it gets real smooth.

Are you overclocked in WM? If so, you need to get rid of the overclock to boot into Android. Haret will freeze if there is an OC in place.

Disable your auto backlight in WinMo.

Yeah I just saw it in the FAQ, was trying to find where it was but then saw it on your website lol but thanks! :)

But hey Reef, I had a question for you, when I was looking through the Wiki one day I saw this

11. You should kill all the apps as soon as you boot into android. They are all running and this contributes to the battery running down so quickly
Is that true?

To a point, yes. The more apps you have running the more your phones hardware will be working. Even in sleep these apps check for updates, and other tasks, using your systems hardware, in turn draining your phone. The less cpu, ram, memory access you are using then the less your battery is being used also.

When we added that, we were on an older build, that would start almost every single application on boot. So not only was it draining batt, but it was draining system performance, and people thought that's the way it was supposed to be (opening all apps), so we had to mention otherwise.

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [8/18] MORE SPEED!!!!!

noob question but couldn't find answer in faq and elsewhere: if you install the files from the latest update (using .rar downloaded files, not the cab) what will happen to your existing Android set up...ie customizations, all the app downloads, etc?? Wouldn't want to lose all that with new install, obviously! if this has been covered somewhere just point me in the right direction..thanks!
