Installed this update and now it is really really loud. I try to adjust the volume up and down and nothing happens...kind of the same effect prior to the update but with the volume all the way up. Actually, something happens -- sporadic reboots. Too much up/down on the rocker makes Froyo hang, then reboot.

Anyone else noticing this effect?

As I'm not sure everyone is aware of this:

As an FYI, in case you are not aware, it is possible to leave the SIM card in on a CDMA phone and have Android work. You simply need to set the phone to CDMA only instead of global in Windows Mobile:

Phone->Options->Network->Mode of Operation, set to CDMA Only.

Ok, first off the update feature before you boot Android seemed to have messed up something. Secondly, I cannot find the new .cab for Froyo on 7/21. It doesn't populate when selecting it. I guess for now I will stick with the old Froyo because it seems to work well. I will try the Global thing on the previous post. THanks,

I hard reset my rhod400 running the stock 6.5 rom, but all of the Android files are still on my SD card.

Is there a way to get the launcher back into my programs list so I can add the shortcut to the home screen links without reinstalling Android?

total commander or resco explorer to create a shortcut (of MJGDroidutil.exe in \Storage Card\Andboot) into \windows\programs would do

I was going to say, "of course everyone knows, it's in the FAQ." But I went back and looked and it's no longer there. What it said was the you needed to have the SIM card out for the first boot, but this trick would work afterward.

Anyway, I've found that leaving the SIM card in with the phone set to CDMA only the phone won't connect to any network when booting into Android about 30% of the time. Then I have to reboot back into WinMo and reload Android... it's much easier just to leave the card out.
