how can i add live wallpaper support to the latest builds? love the work you guys r doing, thank you very much!

Most live wallpapers seem to work fine for me. Are there any in particular you're trying to get to work?

i don't have the option to use a live wallpaper on any launcher. when i change the wallpaper the option to choose a live wallpaper literally isn't there. i just assumed it was just left out when we switched from 2.2 to 2.2.1 (because its not stock on android 2.2.1 builds)

Live wallpapers were removed in the 'reference' builds because they were horrible. Slowed the system down, and just made the overall performance suck even worse.

I'm sure you can find the APK's floating around an old blazn build or something, I don't think they were ever removed from that build.

Anyone else have issues with losing your data connection? I seem to lose mine a few times a day and the only way to get it back is to restart the phone. I thought maybe it had something to do with charging it from the computer, but even if I don't plug it into the computer it will just stop working at random. Any ideas? Thanks

This has always happened to me, on and off. Mostly it happens when I'm at work, where there are many dead spots, but sometimes it happens at home where I always have a good signal.

I can almost always re-establish a data connection by doing this:
- Settings / Wireless&Networks / Airplane Mode ON
- wait for airplane icon up top
- turn Airplane Mode OFF
- Settings / Wireless&Networks / Mobile Networks / Network Operators
- should search by itself; hit Search Networks if it doesn't
- choose Select Automatically

And that's it.

I've been seeing this a lot lately too.

Yep, happens to me often. I use Quick Settings to toggle data back on and off. There's even a preference to put it into the top tray but hide the icon so you can easily pull it up whenever you slide down the shade or whatever. I've found that to work best.

In my startup file I have xandroid OC'd to 767000 but when when I use any benchmarking tool they always report only 748mhz... can someone give me the skinny on why this is?

For me 767xxx seems to be my devices limit, it just boot-loops after that or hangs while loading haret. I'm fully aware that each device has it's own unique max chip speed ect. I'm more curious about the disparity in my startup.txt and what the system 'sees' as my CPU speed.

There are clean devisors, and Android automatically drops you to the nearest devisor down. It's like in the OC app for Wince how you can't get as granular as only a couple MHz at a time.

Thanks Nate, perfectly clear answer!
