Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [10/04] BATT UPDATES!

I've been asked to point someone that has a HTC Touch in the right direction. Can it be Androided?
What is the general nickname for a Touch? (ie Rhod400 for a TP2 cdma) Is it the Vogue?
Does this this Mod apply to the Touch also?

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [10/04] BATT UPDATES!

Haha, I love how the boot text says "Welcome to Vouge Linux" =P I remember back in the day when I was getting the early builds of android working on my Vouge xD

</offtopic>

EDIT:

Actually, this is kinda on topic, to the person above me, if it is the CDMA Touch, then yes, there is Android for the Vouge. They have Full Featured ROMs and it is fully working. I have my Vouge running android as my backup phone =D

Thanks for your response regarding battery life! I think it's pretty amazing that I have Android running on this phone as it is!

Also, are the lights on the buttons supposed to stay lit? Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't (if it's on, I usually boot back into Windows and then into Android again.)

will depend on the state of the lights when you boot from winmo. If on when you boot, they'll be on in droid.

Try going to the advanced settings and booting at medium or lower overclock in the Android startup app. Mine wont boot at max.

I'm not OC in WM, using the most recent startup app, OC'ing medium in android, and with latest couple of updates I occasionally get the sleep of death? any ideas? Doing nothing different, just wont wake up.

I've been getting these lately too... seems random, I haven't been able to sort anything out. I just keep blaming the RIL

Does it still happen when you don't OC?

Same for me. The phone won't answer when this happens, so I have to stay in crappy WinMob when I'm telecommuting. Really sucks!

LOL I'd say if you depend on your phone at all you'll need to stay in WinMo

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [10/04] BATT UPDATES!

unistalled the anroid project cab and reinstalled it, when to boot and it just stayes at the linux boot screen with the scrolling text what seems to be forever...I just give up and go back to windows for the time being, but dont understand why with my older TP it did not take that much time to boot into android, but with my TP2, it just hangs and hangs...it does not freeze, but the scrolling just does not seem to stop and I cant make out what its saying.
