Re: [CABS] Mr. Pippy XDAndroid CDMA Rhodium

cabs are universal - nice thinking. Installed and started great, but I don't have any signal. Goes through the little wizard for starting droid and setting up/signing into my google account, but no joy. The Windows key brings up the wireless config - tried scanning with no success - and the end call key prompts me to power off - and it shuts down properly

Any assistance would be great. no indication during boot as to the lack of signal. I have the same results with, or without the sim card in place.

Thanks in advance.

I would try removing your sim card and booting into a fresh install of xdandroid ( as in delete everything android from your sim and puting the newest builds of everything on ). Then boot android. At the setup prompt SKIP everything. when the home screen loads up go to settings/Wireless & Networks/Mobile Networks/Network operators then either initiate a scan. then select Select Automatically. *SHOULD* (maybe after 2 attempts) register on your network.

Hit thanks if I helped.

Later today ill cab up each of the android files seperatly so you can update certain parts without touching others. For now:

Code:

This cab installs android into root of storage card  and creates a  shortcut
in root of start menu.
Android with Shortcut

Code:

Startup.txt
Code:

This cab only creates a shortcut in start menu to haret located in root of
storage card, for those with android already on storage card.
Android Shortcut Only

Huge thanks to all the xdandroid devs, Mr. Pippy, 95civic, and many many more!

think you can make the text darker

Thank you soooooooo much for creating the Android shortcut. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to create a shortcut and I wanted a shortcut to be on the home page as a tab. Well your shortcut cab did the trick. Now Android is shown proudly on my home tab. Which is a great way to show off my Sprint TP2....yep it even does droid.....lol. Thanx ALOT!!!

Wow..this is fantastic. Works about as well performance wise as an actual android phone.

I really hope the development on this project continues. I cant tell you how excited I would be in having android on the touch pro2 hardware. My moment is great and all, but still has a lot to be desired.

Stupid question....my TP2 isnt active right now...does this actually WORK with network connectivity??

Yes, it works on Sprint's 3G. Also will work with wi-fi as long as it is not wep.

Hi,
I just downloaded the cab and installed it. It runs fine. But there is no network connection at all. Did I miss anything? Thanks.
EDIT: I am using TP2 in sprint. no network.

Take the sim card out. Read the FAQ in the sticky if you have questions since just about every question has been answered including the one you asked.

Did you double check to make sure you are not in airplane mode? I was having a problem where Android would boot in airplane mode.

Post your question in the build thread where you got the build. I'm betting you didn't read the FAQ.
