Re: Is there any way to import contacts?
There is a way! Transferring contacts from Windows Mobile contacts to a new OS has been a fairly common thing for a quite a while now. Here's how you do it.
1) Go here): http://handheld.softpedia.com/progDo...oad-70426.html (and download the program to your phone. (if the link dies, the program you're looking for it called Thunderbird Contacts Export) 2) Run the program, export your contacts to a file location you can find easily. 3) Put the file on your desktop. 4) Log into your Gmail account (if you don't have one, create one), and click on Contacts. Find the import button and then find your file that you put on your desktop. 5) Click import and wait. After a few moments they will show up on your Android OS. *Note that if you already have a Gmail account and import your contacts, there will be lots of doubles and some work for you to go through organizing your contacts. Hope that was helpful. ![]() |

Re: Is there any way to import contacts?
Hmm- is there a way to get it syncing contacts and calendar from Exchange OTA?
I'm planning on switching back and forth between Android and winMo... with a blackberry or Pre/WebOS device, this is easy- all devices constantly in sync. I found a way to sync exchange mail (they call it work mail), but surprisingly there seems to be very little support for exchange PIM. Or am I missing something??

Problem is, then I would have to really move everything over to Google's sync, in which case I can't use the benefits of my exchange server (direct sync with outlook, integration, etc). I'm actually rather surprised Android doesn't have better exchange sync... iPhone and WebOS do this brilliantly. Google's cloud services are great, but I still prefer exchange for my work related needs. When Google Apps can sync to outlook, I'll rethink. For now, I'm starting to question if Android is ready for users like me... |

Re: Is there any way to import contacts?
I just started using Android on my TP2...(for s**Ts and giggles) have synced my google account already to my phone via activesync. However I'm just getting a portion of my contacts synced to my Android side.
My gmail is synced and so is my gCal. Is there something else I need to do to get ALL my contacts to sync?? also, is there a way to get back to the WinMo side without soft resetting the device?
