Well, it appears that moving only the system.sqsh file to the root no longer works with newer builds

From here on out it's best to stick to cflynt's method shown here:

This post is FYI only for those wishing to still run everyting out of the 'andboot' folder to keep the storage card clean

If you upgrade to the newest initramfs, you can run everything out of 'andboot' (including the rootfs).

It'd be nice if there was some place to put this information so we wouldn't have to tell everyone over and over again. I guess the FAQ is probably a good choice, or the wiki -- but I don't know if anyone looks at the wiki.

Edit: I guess it is in the FAQ. Oops. Nevermind. With the latest initramfs, rootfs should go in the andboot folder without complaint. It's working for me (on a Touch Pro, but that shouldn't make any difference.)

There's gonna be a lot of posts on here if there's an update for every new kernel. Sometimes there are 4 or 5 in a day. The commit just pushed changes one line for the Sony Xperia X1, and does nothing for anyone else.

Sorry, sincerely NOT trying to be an ass, just trying to give a sense of what's notable.

I believe the problem is in the rootfs.img (specifically, the RIL contained therein). Change that.

That might or might not break other things. If it does... change them as well.

Or just change everything, but save your old data.img.

Also as you should be able to add the "rel_path=Android" to the command line startup.txt like Civic said many, many pages ago...

I will be testing and reporting back in an hour or so.
