It will be updated when things start to work.

I'm quite aware of everything in the first post. Read my post again. I was wondering if anyone knew when the next update was coming.

Agreed. All the latest WP7 annoncements have just been the final shove I needed to get on the android bandwagon. I've just about convinced my wife that I should get a moment now and then I'll upgrade to supersonic when it comes out and give my wife the moment. Using Android on my TP2 also helped me a lot as I've been addicted to it and want so badly to be able to use it 24/7.

Easy on the Moment, theres only about 8,000 hits on Google about it turning to airplane mode by itself. My wife is on the 2nd airplane mode issue since I got it for her last night. I don't think a Moment would ever replace a TP2, just my opinion. For one, smaller screen. Two, issues .. my TP2 has NEVER failed me once since it was bought brand new in Dec.

My wife went from the TP2 to the Moment and is extremely disappointed. I would just wait for the Supersonic ans skip the Moment alltogether. For the record, I'll likely buy a WP7 phone...

Sorry for posting off topic.

For those that want to try it, mind you this hasn't been completely signed off on yet, but we are pretty confident it is fine. Here is the latest kernel from today with the tssc fix in it for the double taps on the touchscreen. Thanks go out to bzo for the patch. I have patched todays latest kernel with it and am running it fine myself. So try as you might, hopefully we will get it committed here sometime later tonight.

Just extract, delete your existing zImage and modules files, and then copy these files over.

Edit: Guess I should mention I have been running the patch for a couple of days now without an issue, I just updated to the latest kernel for posting.

Ok i might be crazy but I just added the command line switch for speakerphone and with this kernal my speakerphone works!!! I can hear the person on the other line and she could hear me all through the speaker! Anyone else got this or did i miss something? thanks

Not crazy, that is something that works, but the mic doesn't so not really usable, but is progress in the least!

Re: Android/Linux for CDMA Touch Pro 2

I added "external.rhod_speaker=1" at the end of the txt file, but I couldn't get any sound... just the buzzing.
here's what my default.txt looks like:

set RAMSIZE 0x6000000
set RAMADDR 0x10000000

set mtype 2292
set KERNEL zImage
set initrd initrd.gz

#pwf dm.txt 0x8e0000 0x20000

set cmdline "msmvkeyb_toggle=off gsensor_axis=2,1,3 lcd.density=240 htc_hw.force_cdma=1 physkeyboard=rhod400 external.rhod_speaker=1"

boot

**edit**
I know the first post says the speakerphone is not working (in bold red letters, haha), but I would like to play around with this! i am going to look into this coding and see if I can help out!

Ok so your saying the mic for the speakerphone doesn't work? I made a call to my wife with it on speaker and sitting on the table and had a conversation with her..is it using the mouthpiece mic then?
