Re: [3/6/2010] Google Android for TP2 CDMA [In Dev]

Does everyone else keep getting error "the process android.process.media has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." whenever they open astro file explorer(even the new version) I also get the error on startup sometimes.

(Also, your issue might be something else. This is just one idea.)

Just a few lines before that, there should've been a line saying something like 'mmcblk0: p1' or 'mmcblk0: p1 < p5 >'. If it's the latter, this is the partitioning issue I mentioned. Again, this is just a guess, because I saw it a couple times, and I think it might be more widespread. What does yours say?

That's part of the puzzle (making sure you've got the right login information). But it seems that people fail to get data working even when they DO have the right login information.

It's like a damn Who's on First sketch in here.

Go to Settings -> Sound & Display -> [ ] Orientation and deselect it. The gsensor is too wonky at this point to be useful for that anyway.

The only way to get around astro being expired is to download the latest one from the market (I know, I know)... or maybe get lucky and find someone who's posted the most recent version somewhere other than the market.

Line before that says:
Code:
[ 3.517578] mmc1: new high speed SD card at address 0002
[ 3.534820] mmcblk0:mmc1:002 00000 1993728KiB
[ 3.543151] mmcblk0: p1 <p5>

I think nueTools Storage Manager can repartition it.
I've been thinking about getting a new larger card anyways. I just got this little PNY 2gb card to flash roms.

thanks hit for posting the zip and the post above you for posting the link. Getting apps looks like it going to be easy as one two three...
You're welcome.

As far as installing goes, I believe you can just drop the .apk file into the "AndroidApps" folder, and the system will add it. If it doesn't show up then, then use the AppInstaller program that's already loaded. It should be a signed program, otherwise you may need to go to Settings->Security and uncheck the box that allows you to install unsigned software.

I've been using it since last night, and while it's pretty nice, it hasn't been as fast as everyone else here has been reporting..

whoa...lol...I wont say that that menu tab is kind of laggy to pull up... But agreed clicking on everything else in Android is alittle faster.

Yes. Put it in a folder called android on the SD card. This works for me.
