ok, so I don't think the market enabler is meant for what we need it for, this is what is posted on the developers site:

"Market-Enabler is an application to fake the phone's location and access markets from other countries. Android market is separated into regions (country and carrier specific) and some apps are just enabled for a specific country and not available to the other countries."

That sounds like it is more meant for actual android phones, but ones that are in countries where they shouldn't be yet...

I have heard through the grapevine it will be sometime this year.

I'd like to believe that within 3 weeks we'll have data working on CDMA, and within a month we'll have SMS working.

Seriously, I hope that can happen. I'm not a programmer but I'd be very interested in understanding the technological brick walls that civic and co. have run into in getting the radio to work fully.

Is there any estimates on when data will be working i check this multiple times a day waiting for android and its awesome apps that unfortunately win mo doesnt have

I doubt it'll be too long, we may have to wait until the Verizon Nexus comes out in March.

Ok thanks. But when you're in android, how do you connect? Do you have to manually enter your SSID? Or does android properly scan for available networks? Are there any other settings you have to configure?

Edit: My network is 2.4Ghz 802.11 b/g/n. Does an n network pose a problem?

For me, Wifi ON in WinMo, Network is Connected in WInMo,
Android, Enabled Wifi, listed available networks, just tap on the network, it asked for the key, thats it, easy.

It automatically found my network and a couple others in the area, I clicked on mine, entered the Pre-Shared-key(psk), and it connected just fine. I did have to enter it with caps lock on, as the lower cased letters didn't work for some reason.

I was checking out that freeware site and I am a little disturbed now, there is actually a vibrator program on there called dildroid. That is just disturbing someone would actually write that, but comically enough it's actually a well done program ( I couldn't help it, I had to see what it was ). I wonder if we will see more women with a android phone now...lol. But the facebook program is very well written, much better then winmo's. And there is a drinking games program that is pretty cool on there too.

Out of curiosity does anyone know if the marketplace works on the HTC Vogue ports?
