Re: [2/27/2010] Google Android for TP2 CDMA [In Dev]

Major improvements!

I'm having an issue with connecting wifi to a WPA2 protected network, I was able to connect to an open wifi network with no issues.

One other thing, the browser is very sluggish in its scrolling speeds. I remember on a G1 I had that scrolling in Android is very smooth. I'm experiencing very choppy scrolling on my TP2. Is this just the OS needing to still be optimized or is this typical of what we should expect of the Android browser on our TP2?

WPA2-Personal using AES encryption working great. There should be no need for keeping your wireless network open.

Re: [2/27/2010] Google Android for TP2 CDMA [In Dev]

I'm having a little problem with the wifi, it doesn't connect. Tried the suggestions and downloaded the updated file on the first post but no luck.

Side notes: wifi router no security
started wifi in wm and used the web a bit
then started android
in android turned on wifi and it just says searching for about 2 min then it says no network found
tried web browser and it says there is no network
Added network manually but nothing

Any ideas?

On a brighter note WIFI is working GREAT!!!! Great job!!!
I'm thrilled to see the progress on this project - thanks for the hard work so far

Wifi works (with WPA), but no connection to VZW. It shows 'Vodafone NL' with no service (and I'm in the States, not EU). I tried pulling the SIM and restarting - no help, it just didn't find any cell network. It only listed AT&T and T-Mobile as network choices.

It showed Vodafone for me the first time I tried Android on the TP2 as well. I had to delete my Data.img and then remove the SIM to get rid of the Vodafone information. ATM only Wi-Fi is working and thats only as of late last night. Data has been reportedly working if you have a T-Mobile of AT&T SIM inserted and your device is SIM Unlocked. I am sure 95-Civic will get Data working soon, his work is amazing.

I can get Civic's build to come up. I can also detect Wifi networks in my area, but cant connect to any. Do you have to be connected to the wifi network in WinMo when booting haret?
