Whatever you do, dont commit this to initrd. It just doesnt belong there. Like i said before android itself should have its own bin. So this can actually be applied via android update tarball.

So make a list of the good stuff. Damn stine and jonpry never mentioned anything to me..

Edit: actually there is a pppd in /system/bin . So we must reference that location.

Sounds good. And they noticed about an hour before I made that post last night. It was pretty late, and you weren't on IRC :p

i know u guys hate when i stick my jewish nose where i dont belong, but im currently unemployed and although im trying to learn i know nothing about linux development, or even compiling but i at least know how to use mtty. so am offering to test with my rhod400 but heres the cool part its sim unlocked and is on at&t so its using the gsm part of a cdma rom which changes the fone testing angle. im more than willing to test and am also willing to learn almost anything as long as someone is willing to guide me a little. so all in all keep me posted and if anyone wants to text/email me about anything just let me know and ill pm u my info as u guys r more or less role models for me

edit: hey nate im my virtual ubuntu again but if i learn enough from u guys ill make a dedicated machine for this and any help in any way is really apreciated
and my apologies again for disturbing this thread

Nahh the nbh are via the nand autobuild. Go to the nand forum first page to get the links. The actual android install itself i'll send you via PM.

It will get modified tonight so ill wait till thats done before sending.

There isnt much more to do. If you want to just test it and report back thats a good start.

ok no im lost.. if you use the nbh, then there is nothing u need to do. If you want to roll your own, then nates thread is really good.

All up to you..

This.... This is just silly.... It has nothing to do with verizon. It's just part of the technology. Some IC's are better than others. It's as simple as that, no conspiracy. :drunken:

Need you guys to test this ril. See if it fixes the cdma data issue

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12183048/htc...ystem_bin_pppd

replace the /system/lib ril with this one.

You will need to remount /system as rw since android mounts it as read only to make changes. Or you can update it via android update..
