Re: [TESTING] Updated 4/2/11 New Kernel - *Hopefully* failed wakes fixed!

I have had problems with my phone coming back from sleep with all the recent kernels. With the 4/2 kernel, the phone just seems to lag too much on the unlock screen for me to unlock it.

The last one I had that was okay was the 3/11 kernel. This is running with both FRX05 and 6.

edit: after reverting back to 3/11 I did notice that the light was green as the phone slept, and with the newer kernels the light was orange.

Re: [TESTING] Updated 4/2/11 New Kernel - *Hopefully* failed wakes fixed!

I was making an out going call and when the ringing began I got the static/cracking sound issue. Then the phone began to reboot during the call, which disconnected the call. Nothing new, just reporting the error.

I've heard a static / white noise sound out of my phone with the stock FRX05 and with this new kernel. The sound comes out of the speakerphone speaker on the back. If I turn the phone around and listen to the back side I can hear it.

One minor issue with the backlight for the four front buttons. If the keyboard is open then pressing those four buttons causes their backlight to quickly strobe on the keydown event, then strobe again on the keyup event. It should behave the same when the keyboard is open or closed, but it seems the backlight is suppressed when the keyboard is open.

Re: [TESTING] Updated 4/2/11 New Kernel - *Hopefully* failed wakes fixed!

Had the same quirk where the phone will ring if it is asleep for an incoming call, but will not do anything if it is awake a few times. Just tested it again, once while in another application and once while just at the home screen and both rang fine, though, so intermittent would be the way I'd describe the bug. RHOD400. The manner in which I copied the kernel was to replace the tar and zImage files on the microSD with those downloaded from here. Just mentioning that as I've not replaced the kernel in the past and I wanted to make sure I did it right.

Wow, a lot of kernel updates last few days. I just got my viewsonic g-tablet last Friday so I've been busy flashing it with the vegan rom over at xda and playing with it using my tp2 under winmo as a wifi hotspot. The speed is crazy fast on the g-tablet...I'm loving it. Darn I hate the softkb some much. I need to get back to my tp2 playing with android now or else I'll forget about it with my new tablet. Thanks for the updates.
