Re: NAND Boot Testing - 04-06: FRX06 on NAND (Testing FRX06 now!)

where is my SDCard directory?
My SD card have 4 partition, 1st FAT32, 2nd EXT3, 3rd FAT32, 4th RAW. Seems System recognize the 3rd partition, all 3rd files is put in directory /sdcard or /mnt/sdcard.... but 1st partition's file can not seen .

That has to do with the way we are enumerating the sd card with our initrd. I'm not sure why it would be mounting partition 3 and not partition 1 though. I'll have to look into that.

ACL has been working really hard on getting a new bootloader working for us (LK) that will allow fastboot. This should help kernel development move along much easier, and it will give us a more native Android experience. There are so many changes, it's hard to keep everyone up to date on what is going on.

Once this has all ironed out, I promise I will do a complete re-write of the first couple of posts, and I will be posting a NAND guide for chefs. Ultimately, I think getting GSM working is the next big thing so we can draw from that pool for chefs and testers as well.

Agree with you 100% Nate! More the better and it seems like there is getting to be a lot of willing GSM folks! \\:D/

+1, focus needs to be on kernel and GSM dev. We can polish when those settle out :thumbleft:

Anyone else running ADW Launcher on this build having it (ADW) crash all the time?

Also - I seem to be getting more frequent instances where during a call the speakerphone activates suddenly, and the GUI reboots.

I wonder if the 2 issues are related... Having more trouble today than I have in the past.

Thanks for the Report. I run ADW launcher and do not have any issues with it. Maybe you have a widget that is not working with it?

Issue 2 I think would be more of a system problem... I have not had this happen to me in a long time, but I can relate.

I have a ATT GSM Tilt 2 (RHOD300) and get a typical boot loop when attempting NAND with the SIM.

So I went ahead and installed NAND without the SIM then tried again with it in place after the install. It boot loops where it asks to hold volume up to get into recovery. I had to loop it a few times because it bounces right after and is difficult to read unless anticipating it. So next loop cycle I was reacting and clicked the volume up button and hit it a few times right at the option to click for it and it got past the boot loop and booted into Android!

However, it doesnt seem to see the SIM card so my guess is it was looking at the SIM as the SD and couldnt mount so skipped ahead to boot.

Anyway to change the order of what SD gets mounted 1st? I would think if it found the sd 1st instead of the SIM it could get past this point?

Yes, sometimes i can skip over sim mounting an boot into android but the sim card is not recognized... But i can only skeep the loop if SD card is mounted on "0000" not on "1234"

I have a Rhod100_uk

my rhod was left on the table in a boot loop and he just entered android, seems the boots are random maybe android is not successfully mounting SD on every boot... Now the OS dos not see the simcard but the SD is up and running...

SoD this morning, can build an RHODIMG.NBH with WisTilt's kernel?
[TESTING] Updated 4/4/11 New Kernel - Minor Fixes... - xda-developers
This kernel almost no SoD on my phone .

Thanks .

NAND kernel had to be heavily modified so that NAND would boot. ACL is doing his best to catchup on commits, but so far he's flying solo on that...

As has been stated hundreds of times, this is for testing. Please test & report bugs, and go back if you experience issues. They will be ironed out, but there's a lot of things to iron out priority #1 is to get GSM folks up and running, and LK booting.
