help with acer iconia a500 tablet!!!

Hello friends!! I am from Brazil.
my friend has an acer iconia a500 tablet, but he does not care, is only the logo "acer". Already downloaded a file called "update.zip" and pressed power + volume, but it did not work, I really need the tablet pack, please help me!
