also J I see your screenshots again, how's the video playback on your HC ROM?

Mobo + software decoder + 1.4ghz oc = fine for xvid/dvd encodes/tv downloaded from the web.

I'm really liking the "tablet" OS - HC makes the tablet feel a lot less like a big ass phone :)

Also, when the screen is off, the buttons on the front don't wake it up. Yay!

standby drain with wifi set to never sleep is a bit higher than under vegantab ginger - that ran as low as 120mA, up to 132... this runs 145-150. About 24 hours standby on a full charge.

Still fine for a full day of actual use (3-6 hours of on time) plus 12+ hours standby... or recharge nightly... about the same as before.

From what I heard its not up to Nvidia...Viewsonic has to request them..if they don't request them Nvidia won't publish them....

View Sonic promised some sort of update in may and has yet to deliver...

Personally I'd be happy if we even got gingerbread drivers...with them we can have hardware decode + dual core support!!!

Fixed this - it's the dreaded "Calkulin's battery saving script" - which does nothing but endlessly loop in the background on a 1 second sleep if you have setcpu installed. Why it doesn't just exit I'll never know.

Anyway, killing that, standby dropped to 130mA (this is "live" standby, wifi on, gets email, etc...) which is 28 hours of standby, pretty much just like Gingerbread if you keep it from going into deep sleep.

So, a week in with teh honeycomb... definitely like it. Tab seems more consistent performance-wise, email client much better... for the way I use it, it's been a winner.

You know, for a cheap crappy tablet, the gtab is pretty nice :)

If they would have put in a better lcd, put in a gps and load up honeycomb..at 250$-300$ they could have outsold all the competition :/

Nice. Could you point us toward the ROM you're on and the version of Netflix that works with it?

It's in the first post of this topic. The version of netflix was posted to that thread, but I think it's just the latest from the market (which now works with HC roms)
