Running Android with GPS Software on Memory Card

I have an 8GB memory card I purchased with On Course Navigator 8.3 software on it. The GPS software takes about 2GB's of the card with the remaining space for other storage and programs I install. Will installing Android on the card mess up my GPS software in any way? Thanks on advance for the help.
