Re: Android on HD2 Updates!

For charging issues on all newer builds, make sure you start haret with your phone plugged in, then after that it will charge fine.

So I am using Desire V5, replaced my zImage with Cotulla from July 23 and man, this thing is smoking fast! The only thing that's missing now is battery drain, but this thing is running really freaking fast.

Re: Android on HD2 updates + ROMs + Builds

Tried the Froyo and desire builds a few days ago, this is impressive stuff!! At that time, I didn't have cellular data working or voice calls working, but I'll give these new builds and tweaks a whirl soon. This is all pretty exciting!

zImage now up from cotulla dated the 25th. Just downloaded and have running, unfortunately it does not fix the constantly blinking notification light. the readme refers to panel on/off. May be talking about the menu? It seems to be more consistent and popping up everytime the windows key is pressed. Not noticing any other difference thus far.

I read alot about the screen not waking up from sleeping with that zImage, you notice that?

Just letting it run longer. IT will fade to black then a short time later should go into the loading screen for Android

First boot with new zImage and the first time the screen went off it wont turn back on...time to soft reset...
Second boot same result, going back to old zImage...

Re: Android on HD2 updates + ROMs + Builds

The new build is FAST...no Sense but damn it's fast...first time i've let my phone stay in Android all night long and it woke this morning with no problems...

I'm having problems with calling...if i MAKE the call the person on the other end never reports any noise problems...if i RECEIVE the call the person on the other end always says it sounds like i'm driving down the interstate with my windows down...anybody esle? (I'm on radio 2.10.50.26, thinking about trying a newer radio and testing it out, possibly a new ROM as well)

edit:

OK I got caught up. The new July 25th zimage from cotulla is not good, it does cause sleep of death, but it was mainly designed to turn panel on/off anyways.

Updated 2nd post with the Darkstone Froyo build released today, check it out guys! I forgot my damn charger so I won't be able to rock this Froyo for a few hours.

Can anyone post the zimage without being in a torrent? I was having trouble getting it out of the download last night.

I'm using the froyo build, but I don't get any volume when I use my phone. Anyone got a few tips?

before launching Haret, you have to click on CLRCAD, that enable sound, then launch haret.

tbh I don't like darkstone's froyo as much as his desire v5 atm. When I can get Dan's Froyo rehosted Im going to try that.

edit: I'm having it rehosted, should be up in a half hour.

It is sweet.

Download the patched rootFS from post 2 (this will root it) and then download autokiller and tweak your memory settings, it adds some speed to it.

Also, I went back to the July 23 zImage, it's just more stable than any later builds.

Re: Android on HD2 updates + ROMs + Builds

FYI post #2 update with Dan's Froyo Desire no-torrent rapidshare + patched rootFS files for root access.

I'm using the froyo zimage in post#2 now. Loaded it last night around 9:30 and let it stay running all night while plugged in. Not sure if anyone else has had it happen but the led notification light has stopped blinking constantly. Not sure how it happened but it did. It does not begin blinking again once a message is received though.

the July 23rd zimage seems to have handled the blinking light, I am not getting it either.

Got that installed also, but i like the depth of the AutoKiller better...

So i finally got the voice working perfectly according to users on the other end of the phone...

I'm still on NRG's ROM (July 16, 21911 Sense build) and today flashed the 2.10.50.28.2 radio and it works perfect! Anyone having voice troubles may want to give it a shot and see if it works for them!

Edit: I'm also using the "rooted" zImage Max posted earlier...
