Possible GPS Attached To WiMax that cant be turned off
i was sitting in one of my security classes this evening and my instructor informs me that heard that there is a service or feature that is attached to wimax that cannot be turned off. would anyone know anything bout this? idk know if it matters but i am currently running cm6 and is not wimax compatible..... yet

I'm not particularly sure for wimax in specific..but if you look at it..any time your using a phone they can triangulate where you are... hence the "Use Wireless networks" option..any form of 2 way communication can always be traced in 1 form or another..

I forgot how it came up but that part of the discussion that day. On how technology can be used track you even with out you knowing it.

Well, the gps is actually built into snapdragon chipset, so i doubt they'd incorporate a second radio for it just to spy on you.
