Not sure why it wasn't mentioned here (sorry if it had already)

One of the best apps for rooted users. Pretty much blocks ALL ads on the phone. In apps, and in browsers. How does it work? I don't know, but it damn sure seems like Evo is even faster than before since there is no speed/memory hog from ads!

I think it just redirects the add link to a blank page. Had it on my moment, but haven't rooted my Epic yet. The adds haven't really bothered me anyways.

It does this by nullifying requests to known hostnames serving ads.
But I think its rather useless because, yes it blocks the ad but still leaves the box where the ad would be with a spinning cursor, so no real space saved.:dontknow:

It works by sending all the ad servers to 127.0.0.1. While it doesn't remove the ad box, you don't have to wait for the ad to load.

Rooted on Evo. I use this app and it blocks the adds and I do get the full screen. I've never seen this blank space you're talking about with a spinning cursor. It's like I have paid versions for apps where there used to be ads.
