1. well, you can click on the link that has the file (if you on your phone, it will download immediately.).
2. from the status bar, swipe down and click on the file downloaded, usually it will prompt to install depending on which ROM you are using (or give a warning that you need to enable installation from unknown sources, go ahead and enable it)..then start the installtion...it should update the current version of flash automatically (it will prompt you that is going to do that.)...

Would not simply install on fresh, my steps;

1. Use a file explorer (I used Estrongs) to go to system > app and delete the flash related .apk.
2. REBOOT your phone, you must reboot, wont install other wise.
3. Install the pkg.akp.
4. Profit

I Have mine installed... Does soom to make all flash videos faster an much much smoother as well!

Perhaps I missed it, but has anybody spelled out whether or not this will work on a non rooted OTA 2.2? From some of the comments I'm getting the feeling that it requires root, but I don't think I noticed anybody say it explicitly. Can somebody enlighten me and perhaps others? Thanks!

installed and worked fine on my non-rooted 2.2

Hit Menu > Applications > Manage Applications.

Select Adobe flash, and it'll say under the name at top.

Mine gave me no problems updating the current, at all.. No reboot, no remove, nothing was needed.

For reference, I am on stock, non-rooted 2.2, with xx.6 OTA.

I'll suffer through a few easy steps if that's the price for everything I've gained having root.
