Re: TouchPal for evo
I used it for a while starting June 5th but it just doesnt seem as fast or feature rich as its WM counterpart. Little things like swiping up and across to get a single capital letter don't work anymore. One of the best features from its WM counterpart was being able to change the size of the keyboard on the fly. My guess is that Android doesnt support it so they were able to do it...
Still, I put this down as one of the best keyboards period. I just wish they would rename it so as not to confuse users. Needless to say I found myself back on the HTC keyboard just for the sake of speed. Strange but true... |

Re: TouchPal for evo
Ya I'm a bit disappointed with Touchpal for Android. Loved it on my TP and TP2. I also requested they add a voice button but they just said not anytime soon. Kinda blows but time to move on...

Re: TouchPal for evo
This is what I use now and like it so far over touchpal. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=624416
It's an modified HTC keyboard. There are several swipe gestures also (swipe UP, Down, Left, Right, etc) that you can customize. For example I use swipe left to delete a word. Swipe down to close the keyboard. Swipe Up to emulate shift key. |

Re: TouchPal for evo
I used TouchPal exclusively with WM. I got it on my Hero and will be trying it out over the next weeks. I like it better than the stock Android kbd, but really the stock isn't that bad. I do see that on Android, it's a lot slower.

Re: TouchPal for evo
That rocked on wm - but try swype if you haven't already - if you can touch type and know where your keys are, then its very fast on android.
