Re: how to backup sms

Search the Marketplace under SMS Backup, or just backup.

I use spritebackup (Free) which was posted somewhere in this forum. You just cannot upgrade to the new version without paying $5.

EDIT: I have attached the Spritebackup I used.

Re: how to backup sms

Search the market for "My Backup" It can back up your:

Call History
SMS/MMS
Contacts if you save them locally
Calendar
and more

It also can back up your home screens, settings, and apps but I don't recommend doing that since it usually causes some problems.

All can be backed up on their servers or on your SD card. I would recommend using your SD Card.

Don't forget to reinstall "My Backup" after you flash your phone so you can do a restore.

Have fun.

And I use Titanium backup, it backs up pretty much everything including system settings and such.

Re: how to backup sms

Mystery, where have you been? I used to use your Roms all the time. I still think they were the best. Do you plan on coming out with an EVO rom?

Re: how to backup sms

Mystery,

You might want to mention that the only way to use Titanium is to be rooted.

I doubt it, I am still new to android, I just know the basics. Besides, I really like flipzmode's style, so as long as he keeps making ROMs for the EVO, I don't think I will be making any.

True, but since he mention he would be flashing a ROM, I assumed he was rooted.

If your NOT rooted, then MyBackup (the free version) works perfectly for sms backup.
